EPS Global Joins Nuvoton’s MCU Security Partner Ecosystem to Provide Secure Provisioning for Nuvoton’s IoT Security MCUs Worldwide

EPS Global, one of the world’s largest Programming and Secure Provisioning service providers, announced that it has joined Nuvoton’s Security Partner Ecosystem, making its secure provisioning services available to Nuvoton customers worldwide.

Since security and power consumption are key requirements in IoT applications, Nuvoton has developed security-enabled MCUs which provide chip-level physical security with ultra-low-power performance. Through EPS, Nuvoton’s customers can seamlessly access a global network of secure programming centers to service their data programming and secure provisioning requirements for Nuvoton devices, from prototypes to high volume.

Low Power and built-in LCD driver: ML54

Nuvoton NuMicro ML54 series is a low-power microcontroller, based on 1T 8051 core, embedded 64 KB flash and 4 KB SRAM, built-in LCD driver, running up-to 24 MHz. For low power operation, it runs less than 100 µA/MHz in normal run mode, and the power-down current is below 2 µA with LCD panel display on. The ML54 series operates from 1.8V to 3.6V and-40°C to 105°C.

NuMicro ML54 series builts in 4 COM x 32 SEG, 6 COM x 30 SEG, 8 COM x 28 SEG LCD controller to drive up to 224 dots, and supports the Type-A and Type-B LCD panel. It provides two VLCD input sources, one is external voltage, and another is an internal charge pump, The internal charge pump keeps the VLCD constant voltage to maintain the display quality of the LCD panel while VDD input changes. There are two VLCD driving modes, external capacitor mode, and internal resistor mode. The external capacitor mode with up to 200mA strong driving current to support a large size panel; the internal resistor mode drives a small size panel and reduces power consumption.

Low Power, built-in LCD driver, and Touch Key: ML56

Nuvoton NuMicro®ML56 series is a low-power microcontroller, based on 1T 8051 core, embedded 64 KB flash and 4 KB SRAM, built-in capacitive touch key and LCD driver, running up to 24 MHz. For low power operation, it runs less than 100 µA/MHz in normal run mode, and the power-down current is below 2 µA with LCD panel display on. The ML56 series operates from 1.8V to 3.6V and -40°C to 105°C.

NuMicro® ML56 series integrated capacitive touch sensing circuit with enhanced touch key controller, supporting up to 14 independent touch channels with low power characteristics, waterproof, and high noise resistance features.  The touch key can be one of the wake up source and has conducted 10-Vrms noise immunity, which makes it especially suitable for home appliances and industrial control. Moreover, Nuvoton provides a complete development tool, and touch library to shorten customer’s development and mass production by easy calibration of touch key functions.

Low-power BLE 5.0 and 2.4G dual-mode microcontroller: M031BT

Nuvoton Technology launches a new NuMicro® M031BT series: An low-power BLE 5.0 and 2.4GHz dual-mode microcontroller series by Arm® Cortex®-M0 core operating up to 48 MHz, with up to 128 KB Flash and 16 KB SRAM. In addition to the BLE 5.0 and 2.4GHz RF functions providing wireless connectivity, the NuMicro® M031BT series built-in rich peripherals and analog functions applied to the applications that need IO control functions, such as industrial control that need wireless connectivity, sensor hubs in rigid working environments. The 5mm x 5mm QFN48 package greatly reduces the PCB size and RF layout difficulty, and Nuvoton provides a reference design and rich sample codes to speed up the application development based on this M031BT low-power BLE/2.4G RF microcontroller.

5V Low-Power Microcontroller: M251/M252

The industrial-grade NuMicro M251/ M252 series designed for industrial control applications. It is based on Arm Cortex-M23 secure core for Armv8-M architecture, running up to 48 MHz with up to 256 KB Flash and up to 32 KB SRAM. The power consumption in the deep power-down mode is down to 2.0 μA; NuMicro M251/M252 Series provides five kinds of power modes and three kinds of secure protect mechanisms to satisfy the sensor node devices which cares power consumption in IIoT applications.

M261/M262/M263 Series

The NuMicro® M261 / M262 / M263 series is a low-power microcontroller platform based on Arm® Cortex®-M23 core for Armv8-M architecture. It runs up to 64 MHz with 512 Kbytes embedded Flash memory in dual bank mode supporting Over-The-Air ( OTA ) firmware update and 96 Kbytes embedded SRAM.
