How to ensure the uniqueness of UID (Unique ID)? Issue Date:2018-11-27
All chips provided by Nuvoton carry UID (Unique ID) information.
UID is the chip’s unique identification code, which contains information such as test machine, test time, part number, etc. It is the serial number of the chip and will never be repeated.
Since the UID has a length of 96 bits, it is necessary to use 96 bits together when using UID for code protection. If only a few of the bits are used, the parameters may be the same due to test time or test machine, and thus duplicates occur. Therefore, 96 bits must be used together when using UID.
